The Death of Star Wars is a publication that was created to coincide with The Institute of Jamais Vu's exhibition Star Wars at Basic Space in Dublin.

The Death of Star Wars was a recreation of a magazine I had made with my friends when I was 8 years old. In the original we decided to kill every character in the Star Wars universe that we knew. In this iteration the Artists did the same ,but their narrative was then critiqued by a Star Wars canon expert, describing if the narrative would happen according to the logic of Star Wars.

The success of the artists work isn't judged by the artistic value of the work, but by how it fits into the specific logic of the Star Wars narrative.

The artists involved where:

Heman Chong, Stefan Sadler, Leon Sadler, Kitty Clark, Kieron Broadhurst, The Printernet (Giles Bunch and Richard Grange), Joanne H Richardson, Lance Ward, Amy Hickman,Andrew Purvis.

With critique by Solomon Reich
